What are Miniyou figurines made of?
Miniyou figurines are created from high quality polyresin. Polyresin is a special mixture of oxylite and polystone which is also known as alabastrite. Polyresin is a stone-based material, which can be molded as needed. This material is very versatile and can produce great detail, such as hair texture and very fine details. Stronger then ceramic, polyresin has become a material known to figurine aficionado as collector quality material. The body and background is made out of high quality resistant plastic.
What type of photos are required?
Ideally, digital photos saved as JPG or GIF with greater resolution is best. Head shots are preferred with both a frontal shot and a side view shot of the person whose face is being used to produce the figurine. What is the typical size of a figurine?
The size of a figurine is varies depending on the design and background but are generally between 6-8 inches tall.
Can I still make a figurine because I have darker skin tone?
Polyresin is so versatile, they can be used to create any tone and colour. You can be of any nationality and still create a unique one-of-a kind Miniyou figurine. Every individual’s uniqueness is what makes the figurine standout!
How long does it take to make a figurine?
A Miniyou figurine requires 4-5 weeks to complete. An expedited shipping option is available for an additional fee.
What if my figurine does not look exactly like me?
Please keep in mind that the figurine is handmade by artists and are not intended to be an exact sculpture of the person. It is art, just like a cartoon or a caricature.
How much will the figurine resemble me?
The figurines are fun caricatures and are not exact sculptures. Our figurines typically achieve 70%-80% resemblance depending on the quality of the photos submitted.
What is the difference between a standard themed series figurine and a customized figurine?
Our themed series figurines including single, couple, wedding, family have pre-molded bodies and are already set the way you see it. We only add your head to those figurines. With our customized figurines, the whole body is completely made from scratch from head to toe using our poly resin material. You can customized the way the figurine is pose and you can pick how you want the figurine to be clothed. You pick the clothes, you pick the pose !
Do I get a proof or preview of the figurine?
We proudly offer free previews during the creation of your Miniyou figurine. A preview photo of the raw head and bodies (for customized figurines) will be emailed to you within two weeks of your order for your approval. Changes to the head such as modifying the eyes, nose, or mouth can be made until you are happy with your figurine. Once the final approval has been confirmed, no further changes to the figurine can be accommodated. Any modification requests made beyond the scope of the initial photograph that was provided may require a completely new figurine to be made and result in additional charges. Modifications may require additional time to perfect your figurine and push back the delivery date.
How do I care for my figurine?
To clean, use a feather duster to remove surface dust. Never use any harsh chemical cleaners to clean. Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight to avoid fading over time.
How will I get my figurine ?
Your figurine will be shipped directly to the address you had indicated to have it shipped to during the checkout process.To minimize the chance of damage or breakage of the figurines during transit. With the exception of single series figurines, your figurine will arrive separated from the base. The figurine can be easily fixed into position by applying the accompanying glue.
How do I track my order ?
We'll send you an email with the tracking number as soon as your figurine checks-in for their flight. You can get up-to-date information on the shipping status of your figurine on the website of the national postal services in your country. Shipping typically requires 5-7 days to reach your destination.
